‘The curious paradox is that, when I accept myself as I am, then I can change‘ Carl Rogers
Why would a person think about counselling?
Sometimes life is hard and can be a struggle. It can be difficult to process thoughts and feelings.
We may look fine on the outside but be hurting on the inside.
‘It’s not about getting the feeling out of the mind, or hiding it, but about experiencing it with acceptance.‘ Carl Rogers
Distressing life events can make it difficult to cope.
Depression, anxiety and low self esteem can begin take hold.
I can help you to work through these feelings.
You are not alone in the world.
You are not alone. I am here to listen and walk with you on your journey. Depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, family issues, anger and loss can all play a huge part of our lives. Low self esteem, panic attacks, sexual assault and a general loss of our true self can be isolating.
I am available during the day and early evenings for counselling sessions. All counselling sessions are online with Zoom or by telephone. We would normally meet once a week for 50 minutes. Fees are £50 per session and can be made by bank transfer or cash.
As a person centred counsellor I will offer a safe and confidential space for you to talk through your worries and issues. I am a professional and experienced therapist qualified in the person centred approach to counselling and psychotherapy. I am also a member of BACP and COSCA.
‘I feel happier just for being myself and letting others be themselves‘ Carl Rogers
Everything you bring to our sessions will be confidential and will remain between us. There will be no judgement.
I will encourage an exploration of your issues where you will hopefully find it within yourself to grow and be the best you can be.
